In accordance with Texas HB 1688 of 2001, students are allowed to self administer asthma medication (inhalers) while at school or school functions with permission from parents and physician.  The “School Asthma Action Plan” must be completed by the physician, signed by the parent and returned to the school clinic at the beginning of each school year.
