ALL MEDICATION BROUGHT TO SCHOOL MUST BE KEPT IN THE CLINIC. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO KEEP ANY MEDICATION WITH THEM. (The only exception is inhalers. Please see: Asthma/Inhaler Guidelines)
All medications are to be administered at home if at all possible. If a medication must be administered at school, it must be brought to the clinic and must follow the following guidelines.
- All medication must be supplied by the parent/guardian. The school district does not supply Tylenol, etc.
- All medication must be in the original container.
- All medication must be properly labeled with the student’s name, directions, medication name and dosage.
- All medication must have written permission from the parent/guardian.
- If there is a dosage change from the original label, a physician’s order must be obtained.
