ACTA NON VERBA,"—Deeds not Words. C. H. SPURGEON |
Actions not words was the focus of this mornings meeting. As students enjoyed donuts this morning in the YFC meeting George Reed opened our morning up with prayer and then we discussed the meaning of ACTA NON VERBA and different times in our lives our actions did or did not go with our words and how sometimes our words hurt or influence others (sometimes in a good way..sometimes not in a good way)… even if we didn’t mean them to or even realize it happened. We shared our thoughts and how it made us feel during those times and encouraged each other to try and remember that others are watching and listening to us even when we do not realize it and we want God’s light and love to shine in us always so that others will see him in us and want to come nearer to him. Trey Keel led closing prayer. I’d like to thank both George and Trey for the wonderful jobs they did leading us in prayer this morning. It isn’t easy for everyone to stand up in front of a large group of people and speak… especially when you’re speaking to the “Big Guy” himself !!! Great Jobs and THANK YOU both very much!! Also thank you to the students who helped clean up the donut stuff and put the chairs back in order ~ it was a great meeting and I can’t wait to see you all again next week! BRING A FREIND!!!!
